Natural History Museum

Last Monday, I had an amazing experience at the Natural History Museum! The Natural History Museum is located in South Kensington, London and is famous for their incredible fossils, skeletons, crystals as well as evolution sanctuary! Today, the museum broke a world record for the most visitors which is absolutely awesome! This museum was founded and owned by the Board of Trustees.

As I stepped inside, I was absolutely amazed by the sight.  There was a giant Tyrannosaurus-Rex skeleton which was almost 65 million years old. There was also an earthquake simulator, where you were in a shop in Japan and the floor would shake to re-enact a real earthquake. It was extremely exciting, everyone had lots of fun! The lore behind these incredible scenes was wonderful and I felt like I went back into the past.

Later on, everyone went to the evolution workshop led by a very professional expert. The presenter clearly explained all about evolution including about these big-footed lizards and small-footed lizards and how they would pass on their genetics to their children. We did this experiment where each table would get a box and inside there were parts of an animal, shapes, hair and the smell of a certain animal. We had to guess which animal it was, we also learned how horses and fox evolved over time from their surroundings to better adapt to their habitat! This workshop was super interesting and sparked my curiosity.

Even though the day was full of walking and very tiring, I powered through, I hope to go there again in the future.
