As part of our History learning, we visited Hampton Court Palace to explore one of Henry VIII’s magnificent residences. Our morning began with an interactive workshop, Investigating Henry, where we examined historical artefacts and used evidence to answer key questions about the Tudor monarch. We then shared our findings with the rest of the class.
In the afternoon, we set off to discover the palace and its impressive grounds. We stepped inside the vast Tudor kitchens, visited the chapel associated with Anne Boleyn, marvelled at the grandeur of the Great Hall, and wandered through the extensive gardens. We even braved the famous maze and watched a game of real tennis being played with traditional Tudor‑style rackets.
