Year 4 Potion Making
On Tuesday 22nd January 2019, Petrin were visited by a mysterious suitcase! After some discovery of the items inside, they found out that it was sent from the shopkeeper of The Nowhere Emporium!
On Thursday 24th, they were left some potion making ingredients, by the shopkeeper, for their Maths lesson! They spent the morning making a range of potions such as 'Ruby Radioactive', 'Emerald Electric'and 'Crystal Concoction'. They had to measure out the ingredients accurately in order to watch the magic potions work!
Here are some pictures that were taken whilst they watched the magic potions bubble and pop!
On Saturday 5th January 14 lucky Year 5 & 6 children had the opportunity to travel to Manchester to watch Reading take on Manchester United in the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
Despite an early start, the children enjoyed their day as they saw the Red Devils triumph 2-0 with goals from Mata and Lukaku.
Many thanks to the staff who gave up their Saturday to take the children. All three members of staff could not speak highly enough of the children's behaviour throughout the day. What an experience!

Thank You

We are very excited to share with you some fantastic news that we received over the Christmas period. Following our Remembrance week, that marked the 100th anniversary of the Armistice in 1918, we have had a personal thank you message from the Royal British Legion.

As a school community, I am delighted to inform you that we raised a truly stunning £577.08! We would very much like to pass on our gratitude as a staff to all in our community who contributed to such a fantastic cause.
