On Wednesday 24th January, Year 2 went on a trip to Birdworld.
Throughout the day the children visited the penguins and watched them being fed their lunch. The children were able to talk about all the amazing features the penguins have on their bodies to help them live in a cold climate.
They also enjoyed seeing the emu, flamingos and other birds. They especially loved the owls and it was great to see two snowy owls as the children have been learning about these as part of their Frozen Planet topic.
They had the best time!!
