Observational Sketching of a Teddy
As part of a whole school initiative to look at the tricky Art skill of sketching, Canton class have worked extremely hard on drawing a teddy bear using their observational skills and developing their ability to create texture.
We started by experimenting with our pencils to create different shades by pressing gently and getting slightly harder each time. We then used our pencils to show different textures such as, rough, smooth, furry and spiky.
Finally, we used our new skills to sketch a teddy bear. We tried so hard to not draw straight lines and shapes and create a teddy bear with fluff and fur!
Take a look at us working so hard while drawing and our finished pieces with BIG, proud smiles!
