This week we have been using hot wax and fabric paints to create rainforest inspired Batik designs. We created a simple design inspired by the rainforest. Some chose animals such parrots and sloths; others chose aquatic creatures from the Amazon River itself including turtles and even pink dolphins. We then traced the design using the hot wax. Once it was dry, we were able to add fabric paint to reflect the amazing kaleidoscope of colours that can be found in the Amazon Rainforest. The final step is to remove the wax, showing the true beauty of our designs.
