A Remembrance Service

NEWS

11th November 2016

On Friday 11th November, the children and staff at Tower Hill, along with some very special guests, gathered together for a Remembrance Service. Once again, we were joined by Frank from the Royal British Legion and some special guests from the Armed Forces.

Some of the children led the Remembrance Service by telling the story of The Battle of the Somme through personal accounts from the soldiers who fought in this battle. The whole school then sang together before a silence was observed at 11 'o' clock. This was ended by 'The Last Post' being played. After the silence, the whole school heard a moving rendition of 'We'll Meet Again' sung by one of our Year 4 pupils. Reverend Jeremy then said a few words to end the service.
