Baking Cherry Scones
Before half term, Skylon completed their Food Technology project for this term, baking scones. They were split into small groups and all made a batch of yummy cherry scones. Prior to the baking, Skylon discussed the health and safety aspects that come with cooking, and why it is important we always follow the kitchen rules. As a class we went through the steps together and discussed why it was important that these steps were completed. One trick we learnt, was to cover the cherries in flour first to stop them from sinking to the bottom when the scones were cooking.
