Oxford Owl eBooks

We have recently signed up to the Oxford Owl Reading Website and created logins for each class so that every child can access this fantastic free resource both at home and at school.  Oxford Owl Reading has 250 free eBooks for you to share with your child as well as simple ideas, top tips, activities and games to help your child with their reading at home.  You’ll also find advice from educational experts on many areas including phonics, motivating boys and how to help a child who is struggling with their reading.

The eBooks on this website can be sorted at the top of the page by selecting an age range, genre, series or book band colour.  The book bands follow the same colour scheme as the books at school and allow your child to access the appropriate level of challenge to improve their reading skills.  Not only will this website help your children to learn the skill of reading from a screen, which is vital in this age of technology, it also has an audio option so that children can enjoy listening to the stories as they are reading the text.  These eBooks can be accessed and read on tablets as well as laptops or desktop computers.

To access this free resource visit http://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/ and click on ‘My class login’.
