Thursday 4th November was Outdoor Learning Day. We loved being outdoors for the afternoon, despite the chilly weather!
In Literacy lessons we have been looking at acrostic poems and used this to inspire our outdoor learning.
First we hunted the school grounds, in small groups, for some interesting natural objects that we could use to inspire our writing. We found leaves, sticks, stones and even some fruit!
We then thought of lots of adjectives to describe our chosen objects before writing our very own acrostic poems about them. We displayed some fantastic teamwork skills.
We also collected lots of natural resources from the outdoors and used them to create natural titles for our poems.
We had so much fun taking our learning outdoors! See below for our amazing acrostic poems.
