Year 2 have been learning about algorithms using the Bluebots! They have been building on their Year 1 knowledge by creating their own Bluebot mat based on our Geography learning and writing algorithms to help the Bluebot explore the mat.
The children had to first predict the best way for the Bluebot to move from point A to point B on their mats, then they had to plan the route and write an algorithm. Finally they were able to test it out to see whether their algorithm was correct. Some of the children found that their Bluebot didn't do what they were expecting it to do so they had to 'debug' their algorithm! There were some excellent problem solving skills demonstrated!
