Dance around the world!

What the Children Do
In PE this half term, we are learning about different dance styles from around the world. We started by creating poses like different Ancient Egyptian Gods before learning how to breakdance! Some of us can even do the helicopter now! We then worked in groups to create our own 'Chinese Dragon' inspired dance.

In our recent lessons, we have been looking at a style called Bollywood. It is commonly seen in films and is a fusion of classic indian styles of dancing. In this lesson, we learnt some basic Bollywood movements and then created our own sequence of these to the music. Miss Knight then challenged us to change direction and make some of the moves travel. What do you think?
